Is this a Detox juice?

Yes, the ingredients used in our Green Juice are regularly used in detox formulas. When you first start taking Green Juice, you will likely experience the effects of this detox action.

Is this a weight-loss product?

Yes, our Green Juice is a fat-loss product, and one of the best on the market! Our formula helps reduce hunger cravings and provides many nutrients that nourish the mind and energize the body.

What does it taste like?

Naturally, superfoods don't taste great. Our Green Juice formula contains some natural flavours and organic sweeteners to help mask the taste of the herbs. It helps a lot! But if you find it still too strong you can just mix it with something else like vegan protein powder.

How does your product differ from other Superfood powder products?

Many green superfood powders are filled with standard fruit and vegetables like apple, spinach, broccoli and kale. The superfood content, if any, is usually extremely low. Not all 'healthy foods' are 'superfoods'. Moringafi Green Juice is packed with Superfoods.

Is this safe to have with medication?

Our Green Juice is simply superfood powder. If you are unsure though, please seek professional medical advice.

Does it contain caffine?

The amount of caffine (from the matcha green tea) is very. One serve of Green Juice contains about the same amount of caffine as a DECAF coffee.

Is green juice really good for you?

In general, green juices are packed full of nutrients such as Iron, Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Vitamin K, protein, potassium, sodium, calcium, fiber, minerals, folate, natural sugars, and antioxidants.

When considering if a green juice is really good for you or not, it's important to understand that not all green juices are made equal. Here are some key factors to weigh up:

What are the main ingredients in green juice?

When making a green juice, be it fresh or in powder form, just throwing anything green in it doesn't make it 'good for you'. For example, for many years spinach was hailed as a super food, rich in iron. Heck, it even gave Pop-eye his strength! But scientific research as revealed that spinach is very high in oxalic acid. This significantly impacts the bio-availability of the nutrients derived from spinach. As a result, it has been found that the body can only absorb 2% of the iron found in spinach.

Spinach, kale, celery and various kinds of fruit, both fresh and in powder form, are common ingredients in green juice. Although these foods could be considered 'healthy foods', they are not 'Superfoods', and many can be obtained as part of a normal diet. As such, a green juice which is really good for you would contain more superfoods - not just a bunch of everyday basic healthy foods.

Which is better, fresh green juice or superfood powder?

There is a misconception that juicing fresh fruit and vegetables is better than using a pre-mixed green juice superfood powder. Whether this is true or not depends on the type of pre-mixed green juice superfood powder that is being compared with the fresh mix. A basic green juice powder mix containing cheap vegetable fillers like spinach and celery, would not be as good as juicing fresh spinach and celery. However, a really good quality green juice superfood powder like Moringafi Green Juice would beat a standard fresh green vegetable juice in nutrients each time - hands down.

An exception to this would be if you were to have fresh Moringa and other superfoods, and juice them all up together. That could possibly be equal or better than a powdered mix - but who has time for that? The convenience of a pre-mix superfood powder makes it easier for busy people to take every day, not to mention tasting so much better than fresh juices. (Pro tip: Fresh superfood juices usually taste awful, are very hard to get down, and hit the stomach hard.)

What is the Best Green Juice?

The best green juice will not contain cheap fruit and vegetable 'fillers', but will contain a few, well-balanced superfoods. Be wary of green juice powders that contain a plethora of ingredients. Mixes with more than 15 ingredients will usually end up with just a few micrograms of each ingredient. A microgram is one-millionth of a gram! When looking at the ingredients of some of these super green juice mixes, you'll see the name of the ingredient, followed by a number and the code 'ug' or 'mcg'. This means that you would likely barely even see the ingredient if it were on a spoon - let alone any benefit from it! So aim for a green juice that has an uncomplicated mix of potent superfoods, like moringa, turmeric, spirulina, chlorella, and matcha green tea.

Does Green Juice Help you Lose Weight?

Green Juices can help you lose weight in a number of ways. For example, consumers of Moringafi Green Juice have reported that it helps reduce hunger cravings. Not really feeling like eating really helps in preventing the calories from entering your body in the first place! Other ways that green juices help with weight loss are through detox and general well-being.

The key cause of weight-gain is sugar - in any of its forms. So make sure that your green juice isn't full of sugar. Natural sweeteners like stevia, thaumatin, and monkfruit are all great alternatives.

What is Green Juice Made Of?

Moringafi Green Juice is different from any other green juice on the market. Moringafi Green Juice is actually powered by the most potent green superfood in existence – Moringa Oleifera. Moringa Oleifera makes up a whopping 33% of the mixture! Other ingredients include matcha green tea, spirulina, chlorella, turmeric, black pepper, beetroot, coconut water, and a flavor base of mint, pineapple, and natural sweeteners.

Traditionally, one of the biggest problems with superfoods were that they tasted awful. Therefore, many green juice manufactures steered away from expensive, bad-tasting superfoods, and used cheap fruit and vegetable powders instead. Fruit and vegetable powders can be made to taste great quite naturally. However, the real power and potency comes from superfoods. So many customers have commented on how much better Moringafi Green Juice tastes compared to other superfood brands they have tried.

If you want to make your own fresh green juice, you’ll find it to be a lot of work and mess. The hassle of buying ingredients, doing the cleaning and preparation, setting up the blender, processing it all then having to clean it, really makes it hard to do on a daily basis. You’ll also find that there is a very high cost involved in purchasing both fresh and dried ingredients. By comparison, a single serve of Moringafi Green Juice costs around $2. To buy all the fresh ingredients would cost much more than that. To get the same effect, you’d also need to buy the superfood powders like spirulina and chlorella which can’t be purchased fresh.

What are the best green juice recipes?

If you are determined to make your own fresh green juice recipe, there is no shortage of ingredients you could use. Even though many ingredients will not provide much nutritional benefit, at least they will provide variety. Some people use green apples, herbs, lime, celery stalks, baby spinach, swiss chard, kale leaves, ginger, cucumber, lemon, carrots, basil, beets, honey, mint, arugula, and grapefruit, just to mention a few!

In conclusion, when weighing up all the factors above, it is pretty easy to see why so many people are loving Moringafi Green Juice. It simply ticks all the boxes for convenience, taste, and power.

Everything You've Ever Wanted To Know About Traditional Green Juice

While the juice and smoothie craze really took off in the 1970s, it’s been more in the news lately thanks to an A-list of celebrities who swear by juicing and its benefits for weight loss and glowing skin. However, more and more studies are showing that juicing isn’t just a fad diet but can and should be part of a sustainable, healthy lifestyle. If you’ve thought about drinking green juice, here are answers to some of the most commonly asked questions.

What is Traditional Green Juice?

Traditionally, as the name implies, it’s the liquid (with or without the pulp and fiber that results from blending) that comes from green vegetables, especially dark, leafy greens. These can range from very common ingredients found in any supermarket like cucumber, celery, parsley, kale, and spinach to greens that are slightly more exotic like Swiss chard, wheatgrass, and mint. However, this list is in no way definitive. The wonder of green juice is that the ingredients you can mix and match are nearly boundless – from leafy greens like arugula, bok choy, cabbage, mustard and collards to herbs like basil, cilantro, and tarragon to other greens like beet, carrot, and turnip tops, broccoli, dandelion, and Brussel sprouts.

Fresh juicing like this is great, if you have time and commitment necessary to benefit from it long-term. A much easier, cheaper, and more convenient option is to go for green juice superfood drink powders that can be mixed up and taken on the go.

How Can I Choose a Good Green Juice Superfood Powder?

There are many Green Juice superfood powders on the market, but very few of them are actually any good. You want to look for a green juice powder that is made up of superfoods - not just standard fruit and vegetables like apple and spinach. Many brands use these kinds of ingredients as fillers because they are cheap and they sound healthy. But remember that not all healthy foods are superfoods! Many healthy foods are only considered 'healthy' because they don't damage our health. Whereas, these same vegetables and fruits made have very little nutritional value.

Also avoid powders that contain a long list of different ingredients. On first impressions it may look like these kinds of products are amazing due to their many complex ingredients, but it is actually the complete opposite. Having tiny amounts of any ingredient will have little or no positive effect on health. Instead, choose a powder that is made up from a small selection of potent superfoods. This will ensure that there is enough of each ingredient to actually help the body. It will also be the best 'value'.

The appeal of green juice is that it really is for everyone. Vegan, vegetarian, raw foodist? Perfect. Omnivores? Yes, you, too! Those looking for a diet you can stick to long-term? Yes. What Are the Health Benefits of Green Juice?

Green juice is good for you because it’s packed with nutrients.

what are the health benefits of green juice

Consumers have reported that drinking green juice report feeling a boost of energy and less fatigue. Drinking green juice, especially as a meal replacement, also decreases the amount of unhealthy processed foods, fats, and sugars that we might otherwise consume. Reducing your intake of added sugar also reduces inflammation, a contributing factor in common ailments like heart disease and arthritis.

Is Drinking Green Juice Better Than Eating a Salad?

Using a Green Juice superfood powder will usually provide much more nutrition than the typical garden salad. Garden salads typically contain few or no superfoods. Typical ingredients like lettuce, tomato, carrot and peas are healthy foods, but can't compare to the nutrient density of dried superfood powders. If comparing juicing vegetables to a salad, then it will depend on the ingredients used. Typically juicing just removes the fiber and allows for an easier way to consume and digest the goodness from the vegetables you use.  You’ll also likely feel lighter after drinking green juice than when eating a big bowl of salad.

Does Green Juice Supply the Protein I Need?

Vegetables (especially leafy greens) are packed with protein, including the nine essential amino acids (the building blocks of life) the body cannot produce on its own. While some argue that animal protein is somehow better than vegetable protein, the truth is that both contain the same 22 amino acids and can be part of a healthy diet plan.

Not only can we derive the nutrients our bodies need from vegetables, they’re packed with vitamins and minerals (including antioxidants, calcium, folic acid, and much more), all while being low in calories.

While animal proteins more resemble the proteins naturally found in our bodies, there hasn’t been enough research to definitely answer whether a meat diet is healthier than a vegetarian one. What is proven, however, is that the protein from green juice, along with a balanced diet that includes a good variety of legumes, nuts, seeds, whole grains, and fruit, more than adequately provides your body with everything it needs.

Another added benefit to consuming vegetables is that plant-produced phytonutrients come with a host of potential benefits, including antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, all without the saturated fat, cholesterol, and other harmful compounds often associated with a meat-heavy diet.

Can I Add Fruit to Green Juice?

The answer is yes and no. Yes, especially if you find vegetable juice alone too bitter or distasteful to stomach. Adding a little fruit or fruit juice will provide some sweetness and make green juice easier to drink, especially in the transition stage or to make green juice tastier for kids. After all, better to add a bit of sugar and make green juice a permanent part of your diet than giving green juice up all together because you can’t stomach its taste.

can i add fruit to green juice

That said, fruit contains a lot of sugar in the form of fructose, which experts agree is even worse than fat when it comes to weight gain and LDL cholesterol (the so-called “bad” cholesterol that narrows your blood vessels). Overconsumption of fructose also induces insulin resistance (associated with Type 2 diabetes) and inflammation which can lead to disease.

If you need a bit of sweetness from fruit, opt for superfoods like acai berries and coconut water. While fresh fruit is best, store-bought fruit juice can be used as an occasional substitute, recognizing that often sugar is added to these drinks.

How Long Can I Keep Green Juice in the Fridge?

Ideally, you should drink your green juice right after you make it or at least within 24 hours for the best taste and nutrient value. However, because juicing takes a bit more time than blending, it’s perfectly fine to store your green juice in a glass container with an airtight lid to take with you or store in the fridge. Try to fill your bottle to the top as oxygen degrades the live enzymes in green juice. Also, because homemade green juice is not pasteurized, you should definitely drink it within 48 hours before potentially harmful bacteria (usually from the skin or peel of the ingredients) has the chance to develop.

When to Drink Green Juice?

The beauty of green juice is that its nutrients are easily absorbed by the body. You can help this process even more by drinking green juice first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach. You’ll also want to wait half an hour or so before eating a meal or drinking coffee, as other foods will delay absorption and the acidity in coffee will neutralize the alkalizing effects of green juice.

As a bonus, drinking green juice in the morning can serve as a breakfast replacement that won’t disrupt your intermittent fasting schedule (because it contains no fiber) while leaving you feeling light, satisfied, and nourished.

What Happens If I Drink Green Juice Every Day?

Drinking green juice every day is one of the best things you can do for your body. In fact, measurable changes, including the proliferation of healthy gut bacteria, can be seen within just a few days of drinking green juice.

Optimally, you should drink green juice 2-3 times per day. However, even if you can only drink green juice once a day, you’re well on your way to leading a healthier lifestyle. Experts recommend that we all get at least 10 portions or 800g of vegetables a day, depending on age, sex, and the amount of physical activity we do. Yet, according to the 2018 Australia's health report, 96 per cent of Australian adults don’t eat the recommended daily intake of vegetables. Drinking green juice is a great way to get your daily recommended serving of vegetables quickly and conveniently.
